About Us

Wadood Moimunnessa Foundation (WMF) is a charitable organization registered with RJSC as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, bearing Registration No: S-5385 (499)/ 06 and dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural and underprivileged communities across Bangladesh through healthcare, education, and humanitarian initiatives. Established in 2005, WMF has carried out numerous social welfare programs, including scholarships for poor and meritorious students, blanket and winter clothing distribution, financial assistance to critical patients, and emergency relief during national crises such as the Rana Plaza disaster.
Continuing its mission to ensure accessible healthcare, WMF established a permanent 25 Bed Free Friday Clinic and Hospital (2 storied) in Pakshail village under Borni Union, Borolekha Upazila, Moulvibazar, which has provided free medical services and medicine to over 60,000 patients since 2012. As part of its ongoing healthcare outreach, WMF organized a Circumcision Camp in Pakshail on 15 April 2016, conducted by a skilled surgical team from Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. The event not only provided circumcision services for 25 children but also offered medical consultation and free medicine to more than 100 local patients—reflecting WMF’s steadfast commitment to community welfare and public health. By this time WMF has organized several Child Heart Camps in various educational institutions of Sylhet Metropolitan Area. WMF also sponsored gold medals to the fellows of Bangladesh Pediatric Society on many occasions in recognition of their research work
